If you headed down to E.On Cycle Live in Nottingham last weekend (13th-15th July) you’d have seen a fabulous display of all things cycling-related, including racing action from Team Raleigh-GAC and a big marquee with all the latest Raleigh bikes (plus a few vintage models too).
On Friday we had Raleigh HQ staff and Team Raleigh-GAC racing our bikes in a series of evening races.
We won the corporate challenge with Team Raleigh-GAC sponsors Nottingham Building Society…
came second in the folding bike race…
and won the Elite race with a breakaway solo win by Jamie Sparling.
Click on this link to hear what Jamie had to say about his win.
On Saturday and Sunday we had a big product display of our road, family and classic bikes, which also included Raleigh-GAC rider Brennan Townshend manning the 60-second turbo trainer challenge, which was won by Mark Footitt with 0.81 of a mile covered.
We also manned three work stations on the Great Notts Bike Ride, fixing up bikes for the thousands of people taking part in the event.
Ben Hillsdon, Raleigh Marketing Manager said: “This event provided us with a great opportunity to talk to people of Nottingham, our home city, and find out how we can better serve the people who’ve been buying our bikes for 125 years.”
To thank people for coming along we offered a20% off discount code , redeemable on Raleigh’s website and Cyclelife.com. You can use this discount code on products right up until 11:59pm on Sunday 22nd July.
